Day 1, 37days till you return, 24 days till Christmas.
And so it begins, you've left for the sun, and I'm left with the cold, freezing cold, slippery puddles and dabbings of snow littered about without a single use in the world. You know this already, you were here this morning!
I pulled myself together once you said goodbye, I may have cried a little, possibly due to the lack of you in my life for 5 weeks, maybe because you were temporarily providing me with warmth in my bed and I was now left, at 5am with a freezing cold bed and a couple of vital hours sleep left before being rudely awoken by Chris Moyles on the radio.
I got up, noticed your necklace by the side of my bed and took it upon myself to disperse of it, one small step into eliminating possible ways of you dying an unduly death. And then, in what would appear to be a remake of the desperate and tear jerking scene from Titanic I clasped the necklace to my chest before flinging it into the depths of the grand union canal. Sadly, it was frozen, the necklace skidded across the service, hit the bank, before returning to me, so alas, it remains safe on my bedside cupboard.
I had rice crispies for breakfast, I brought these a while ago because I particularly like the noise they make when you pour the milk on, sadly this overlooked the fact that i don't actually like them, which I once again realised when I began to eat them. Breakfast was a let down.
You were at the airport by now, this was lucky, the snow closed the M25, Gatwick airport and Robin Hood airport, (I was unaware Robin had an airport, as probably were many other people therefore I don't feel this would have much an effect on Britain, but thought you should be aware)
Work was average for a Wednesday, I danced, ate, gymed and swimmed, nothing significant happened, the pool reflected the weather outside and was freezing, it was unpleasant and I didn't want to be in it.
Elsewhere in England, people were beginning their long and tedious journeys home in the snow, my journey home was uneventful, the snow remained minimal and Granny had kindly taken it upon herself to grit the driveway, with what appeared to be stones she'd dug up out of her garden, rocks in fact.
And that's about it, Its Wednesday evening and I'm off out to meet Adam.
I'm unsure where in the world you are right now, I hope the flight is uneventful. I hope Nick isn't snoring and I hope that Steven Fry is doing a good job of depicting the wonderful world of Harry and Hogwarts.
Linford left the jungle, This reminded me of the time I wanted to buy a black hamster and call him Linford Christie, you told me I was being racist. I feel I was just trying to name a hamster after a hero.
sleep well x x x
